“Ten Untold Stories” is a series of ten light compositions that built across the 140-meter-long passageway of the Montjuic Castle.
It is an in-situ installation, where place decides the piece. The walls of the old barracks of the castle, its arched ceilings, materials found in the back rooms – we made use of all the elements that the space had to offer.
LIGHT ALTERS THE REALITY, CHALLENGES MEMORIES ENCAPSULATED IN SPACE.
The dialogue between light, color, material, and space creates a narrative where each spectator becomes a part of the story, following the designed minimalistic pattern.
The interplay of the light reflections, natural materials to the environment, and a spatialized soundscape amplified by the acoustic of the passage will emphasize the architectural details of the historical building and at the same time, create new encounters in the well-known space.
Light, the most ephemeral of arts, holds no predetermined meanings – only unexpected encounters. We attempted to capture this uncertainty, exploring the depths and beauty of impermanence.
